WaterBridge Exposed Shower and Custom Tub-Filler in Rustic Nickel

New Mexico Residence
The overall objective in terms of the design of this bathroom was to create a calming, soothing, nurturing space evoking nature. I used a large natural stone to create a step up to the Stainless steel very sculptural Japanese soaking tub. The tree trunk that we carefully drilled through to create a plumbing chase was not an easy challenge but the tree trunk was the remains of a tree that my client loved and the tree had to be cut down, so we used it to anchor the design of this room around.
Custom Tub-Filler
This image is my favorite because it focuses on the simple beauty of the Sonoma Forge custom tub-filler perched atop the beautiful birch tree trunk. This project was so much fun to envision and to execute, although challenging. The backlit 3-FORM acrylic lining the walls is a stunning backdrop for all of it!

Wall-Mount Lav from The WherEver Collection in Rustic Nickel
The tree trunk idea got out of control in a 'good way', resulting in this striking vignette. We used a sculptural tree trunk from an Acacia tree to use as a pedestal for the lavatory and faucet. Natural flagstone was used as a surface for sink and appropriate bathroom accoutrements to sit on. A local artisan's forged iron work surrounding an adjustable mirror worked perfectly in a somewhat awkward space due to the size and shape of the tree trunk!
